Summer Fun Snacks for Kids

It's quite well-known that kids love snacks, and in the summer, you can prepare some great fun snacks for your kids. Here are some suggestions.
Banana Flowers
Instead of the usual Banana Split, you can create these lovely ice cream delights with the same ingredients and a little imagination. Firstly, make some banana petals by slicing some bananas. In a shallow, small bowl, put a spoonful of sticky marshmallow cream. Place the banana petals around the edge of the bowl so as to form a flower, and simply add a big scoop of your kid's favorite ice cream. To make the Banana Flower even more appealing, you can add sauces, whipped cream, chocolate chips, peanut, cherries, and anything else.

Watermelon Salad
In the summer, nothing tastes quite so delicious like watermelons, and kids love them very much. With a little creativity, a watermelon is not just a watermelon. You can enjoy a lot of fun by carving a watermelon manor with your kids. If you enjoy pumpkin carving, you will definitely enjoy watermelon carving. After that, you can make a watermelon salad. Prepare 8 cups of watermelon, either in cubes or balls. Other ingredients include fresh mint or basil, salt and pepper, 1 tablespoon of lime juice, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, and 2 to 4 ounces of crumbled or cubed feta. It's very easy to make this salad. Just mix the feta and watermelon balls or cubes, then throw in the rest of the ingredients, and toss!
Carrot-Ginger Dip
It's hard to get the young ones to eat vegetables but with this Carrot-Ginger Dip, you can get them to ask for seconds. Kids enjoy dipping their food into purees so they will have a lot of fun with this. The ingredients include ½ teaspoon sugar or honey, ½ teaspoon white vinegar, ½ teaspoon table or kosher salt, ¼ cup plain yogurt, ¼ teaspoon curry powder, ½ inch piece ginger, 2 tablespoons olive oil, and 2 medium-sized carrots. Firstly, slice the carrots and ginger. Put the sliced carrots and ginger into your steamer and steam for another 10 minutes, until the carrots are tender. Put the steamed carrot and ginger into a food processor and add in all the other ingredients. Then, blend until the puree is smooth. For younger kids, the Carrot-Ginger Dip can be served with steamed vegetables or whole-grain bagels while older kids will love it with cucumber slices or carrot sticks.
Strawberry Split
Kids eat a lot of ice cream in the summer so why not make it even more fun for them? Strawberry Split is almost the same as Banana Split so it just means that you will not be using bananas but strawberries! Using a sharp, small knife, cut the strawberries into halves. Next, put a few scoops of your kid's favorite ice cream into a shallow, small bowl. Then, simply add the strawberries, whipped cream, cherry, sprinkles, and anything else your kid likes. The Strawberry Split looks as enticing as it tastes so your kid will surely be delighted.
